Camp Thunderbird (YMCA- YWCA)
General Information

Located in: British Columbia, Canada

Day campers enjoy a fun-filled, five-day program and participate in many age-appropriate activities. Travelling on the bus is part of the fun of going to Day Camp—we sing songs and play games to build excitement on the way to camp. Once at camp, day campers spend time in groups of 9-12 learning outdoor skills such as canoeing, kayaking and rock climbing and enjoying new friendships with fellow campers. Day campers participate in the same activities as overnight campers, and spend some time integrated with the overnight program. Participants can choose to stay for an optional one-night sleepover at camp. The overnight includes dinner in the dining hall, camping out in tents near washroom facilities (weather permitting), and breakfast the next day. On the final day at camp, everyone participates in a camp-wide special event and games.
