Webb's Holiday Acres
General Information

Located in: British Columbia, Canada

Webb’s Holiday Acres camp program is designed for children ages 6-14. When the campers arrive, they are shown to their cabins by one of our staff members. The girls and boys sleep in separate cabins with our trained leaders in adjoining rooms. Once everyone has arrived, the camp director explains the rules and introduces all the staff members. The children are split up into three different riding groups. They are taught the basics of riding, grooming, saddling, and handling of the horses. With our skilled staff the children are assigned a horse for the week; or if they’ve been here before, some get to pick which one they want. During the week, the children get to make their own choices of what they want to do. They can go swimming in our heated pool, do arts and crafts, play games, groom horses, go on hikes, catch frogs or snakes. Or if they want they can relax and play cards with the many friends they meet during the week. The only requirement is they need to ride with their riding group if they want to ride that day. When the horses are let out for the evening, we have evening activities. These can range from Capture the Flag, skits, Sports Day, scavenger hunts, campfire with sing-along, and on the last night, we have a dance. Our goal is to make sure all the campers have a fun and exciting time. If the children want to choose to do something within reason during the day, our program is flexible for their convenience. After all, it is their vacation!
